Very nice Paul, its coming along. I like the garage space you have there:

I am a bit of a neat freak, actually my garage feels disorganized now? One of my next overhauls is to re do my garage ..
Being organized has really helped me with the rebuild ...

Thanks for blowing up the pics! How can I post pics enlarged ?

Speedo sensor wiring ???

Alright, as I am going through the old wiring setup i find two wires heat shrunk together.
one looks to be a ground wire for the voltage regulator to the circuit breaker
the other wires Red green and black appear to be to the speedo sensor as I peel back the heat shrink the wire are cut and have just had heat shrink over them?

I can't figure out why the speedo sensor was not connected??? see pics

Think I figured it out.. I think someone had replaced the stock ignition and instead of re doing the wiring just cut the wires? I found other wires in the heat shrink after cuttinng the rest off...

Well after racking my brain for hours and looking through all the pictures I took I figured it out..
I removed the heat shrink from the main wiring harness and found out that someone along the way changed the ignition from the stock and instead of using the deutch connectors they ran the wires up directly to the ignition coil and to the voes. They cut the wires from the main harness. They cut time but really? My OCD is kicking in so I am going to rewire the bike! I can't stand doing anything half assed! I will post pics tomorrow to show the wiring.

Ordered a Dakota digital tonight .. Somebody make it stop... My xmas and bday present ...

Inner primary may be going back for chrome..

Not going to chrome the wheels ..
