Thanks... I am full of questions...
I plan to order this now.. but have another question. Is this the actual hydraulic clutch minus the master cylinder?
Will this relieve my cramping?
Once they fabricate this thing is it just a bolt on?

I wish I had more money.
Hey Black rider. Your bike already has the rsd. What you need to help with the cramping hand would be an easy pull ball and ramp. Something you could install yourself. Easy peasy.

I don't think I would pay DM Customs 719.00 bucks for just the actuator. They need to come up with the Hydraulic line and the Master cylinder to go with it. If you want one finger clutch action go here

EFM Auto Clutch. I put one of this clutches on my wife's Sporster / Trike and that MF kicks ass.

You could try installing the low effort 9 plate clutch set up that BDM went to in 2009. This would be a clutch pack (steels and fibers) and the inner and outer ball ramps.

Yesterday my clutch cable broke. Lucky I was near home. put the dog in 1st gear and started it. was able to get home that way. I really need a solution to the cable breaking issue. I am not a mechanic. anything out there easy to install with a how too and pics?

Now when you get rid of all the BD electrical and get rid of the hand controls, you can run everything internally, no lines! Good find Ray. BTW if you're gonna start a bike with a broken clutch cable best to get a rolling start in neutral, start it, then kick it up to second gear. Unfortunately I've had to do this a few times!

I'm going to try a slave cylinder made by Magura that installs in the same location as the cable on the pulley cover and still uses the ball and ramp. they look pretty slick I have had them on my KTM dirt bikes, you can pull the lever with one finger.
Hi,

Have you tried this yet? any pics?

Is this sold by BDM? Where can I find it? Anyone know the part number?:flag:

You can buy the unit and have a local shop do the machining and install it for you.
You can ship your cover to use and we will do the work with about a 3 wk turnaround depending if you want it chromed.
If you in the area DMC can do it all here for you inclucing installing it.

The unit comes in standard, polished or can be chromed. YOur cover will need to be re-chromed after machine work.

Website will be updated today to reflect all this and there will be a price drop.

Ray,
can you break this down for me? If I buy this can I eliminate my clutch cable?
How does this thing work? Is it fully hydraulic?
How hard is it to install?
I broke a cable and I am afraid to go very long distances now. If this actuator thing is the savior, then I want it. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
