Depends on your bike, dipsticks only work on I believe the hardtails, since the soft tails oil bags are under the seat or tucked behind it. they have a curve in the filler neck so can't get a stick to measure anything anything anyways.

I wish my pitbull had a dipstick I use a nice clean flat head screw driver!:oldhardlaugh:
Its the guy on the seat..you can buy one. They are pointless for the dip stick portion actually, doesn't tell you CHIT, since there are no markings on it. You could scribe one in I guess but they have a temp sensor on the top which is all I care about. I just look in there with a flashlight. Derrick and Donna have them.

tried it on my 08 with passenger peg set up and it doesn't clear the bar that holds the pegs. put it on my 05 without peg set up with no problems. in addition I etched markings on the dip stick for readings.
Did the same thing, etched markings on mine. Temp gauge isn't very accurate, but makes me feel a little better. I check oil about once a week and remove my passenger pegs, then put them back on....takes about 5 minutes...with the right tool.....

How accurate are these Harbor Freight dipsticks? Would they work on a k9?
They are made in China so accuracy is not dependable...I like to use them to open Paint Cans mostly...

I have also heated and bent a few of them to get around corners, or to my heater actuator screw in the dodge that is mounted up agaisnt the firewall! They work great!
