Got a fork seal rebuild kit and taking everything apart got to the point of taking out the damper tube bolts out and they came loose but there just spinning loose but will not come out. It's like whatever there bolted to is spinning also any ideas?

You need to use an impact, I use a cordless 1/4" drive for those. You need the speed of the impact to remove the cap screws.

Bdm7250 is correct on this....the damper tube is spinning inside is what is wrong...impact like he said and should come out

An impact won’t help in your situation, lift up on the lower leg until it hits the damper then you’ll be able to get the bolt started. This happened on mine as well not really that big of a deal. I hope this helps you.

He's talking about removing the cap screw, not installing. Impact is the tool for the job, prolly even says it in the manual...

I ended up putting the spring and spacer back in and that put enough pressure on it to allow me to get it out. Thanks for all the help guys.

I never needed an impact just have always removed that bolt first. I just remove them and go have a beer while they drain. Then start taking them off.
