Current pick for Best Open Primary?

When I looked and studied open primaries & clutches. I had the same questions. Everyone said use the Karata and the Baker. When I started looking hard into the big HP bikes I found a page on Harley drag bikes. Even the Nitro class 99.9% run BDL drives with lock up clutches. This told me 2 things. #1 they make a quality product, #2 this product has no problem handling HP! Like others have said. The bearings break, ect. ect. If the BDL can handle 400-600HP it can damn sure stand up to my little 108hp V twin!
Are you running one now? I see you have an 03 Chopper... That has a different primary/clutch set up then my bike though.

Call me stupid, Jonathan, but I'm not seeing these for BD RSD applications on their site. I did put an email in to them, though... have not heard back yet.
It's in the softtail application and they will ask you what your offset is, For my 03 chopper the offset was 1.5'' So measure your offset.

The ONLY differance in my primary and yours is the offset ring. They make offset, 1/2'' 3/4' 1'' 1.25'' 1.5'' 1.75'' offset.

His k9 is rsd. My understanding is the back plate on open primary is different for left and right side drive applications

I have a baker - Pricey but i really do like it. I had baker install it during bike week so I know it was installed right. Since your in Fla you might want that as an option!!!
