Got my Cruise Mate for my 05 Ridgeback. The quality of the product is fantasic. It should out last the bike. If you decide to install it yourself be sure have a second person helping. You'll need 4 hands to carefully disassemble and re-assemble the throttle cables and parts .. it will make it a lot easier and two heads are better than one. I had my son help me and together it took about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The instructions are great and it would be better with pictures to show exactly how to do it.
Cant' wait to try it out on the road ... the wife didn't appreciate me starting it up 12:00am this morning ... (started late working on it... couldn't wait to get it on) Great stuff ... :2thumbs: :)

Just remember to have a second set of hands ... it will help a lot ... I don't know if all the Big Dogs are set up the same in the throttle ... be careful when taking out the "C" clips that look like wires that are holding the cable into the housing ... my son and I used a small eye glass screw driver and a big safety pin to take them out and re-install ... if you have any questions I'm sure the guys at Cruise Mate will help ... or call me if you like 928.301.8163 I did mine at 2300 hrs and didn't need to call them. I have photos and I knew someone would ask for them ... how do I upload the images? I need some help ... thanks ...:hi:

The guy installed mine at the Cabbage Patch in about a half hour for $80. I see he posted pics of mine on his website. Great product and worked great coming across country especially when it got cold and I had to lay my hands on the rocker boxes to warm them.

Looks like a great kit for the "do it yourselfer".

You won't regret putting one on your scoot!!!

   It was $85 with the drill bit and the tap. It works really great ... worth the money and the time to install ... about 30 - 45 minutes ... take your time there are some delicate parts in the housing ... that's why I recommend 4 hands to do the job ... I've seen a few "Cruise controls" and this by far it the best I've seen. Can't for a "long" ride to test it out ... FYI ... my wife didn't blink an eye when I started the bike up 1200am the other night after I installed it ... didn't need to but I did ...

You have a pic of the whole assembly on the throttle? I was curious what the entire setup looks like installed.

I hate all you guys that have these. My 07 Mastiff doesn't have anything to replace with the Cruise Mate...:bang: :bang: ...guess I'll just have to use duct tape and strap the throttle to my wrist.:loony:

Call Cruse Mate 1.877.642.3722 and let them know what BigDog you have ... I have an 05 Ridgeback ... the set up is different for BigDogs than HD. See the website Motorcycle throttle lock cruise control and ask for the drill bit and tap ... it's not included in the kit ... but if you whine a little he will throw that in for the sale ... now that's great customer service ... if not pm me and I'll send them to you ... I don't need them anymore ... again great product ...

AZ, the custom setup just like posted above has the tap, drill bit and holder included. That's all you need to drill the hole on the newer models that don't have the set screw.
