That sucks dude! Hope you have a speedy recovery. Although I can't help you heal your foot, I can help you heal your bike. Hit me up for paint if you want. Sounds like you're keeping your spirits up!

Staying on top of whats going on helps me heal, i know the chopper will get fixed but it keeps me focused, im the Mind over matter kinda guy which speeds up healing.

It was def the other guys fault and is stated so in the police report, plus i have a witness that gave a statement to the police. Guy claimed he never saw me, hmm a long chopper with no baffle in the exhaust?????????? I doubt it.

All the guy got was a ticket, amazing right. His ins company is being extremely difficult so i have to hire a lawyer to get this all straightened out.
If the guys ins. co wants to be difficult, it's time to play hard ball. Hit them up for all it's worth!:spank:

Hey, the fact that the other driver was ticketed clearly indicates fault on his part. Unfortunately, unless impairment or reckless operation (high rate of speed, erratic operation, no lights at night, etc. & usually has to be a number of aggravating factors) was involved, the only option an officer has is to issue a violation or not. The fact that the officer did should make your case very solid.

BIKERSDREAM nice single side build, my 08 Softail bike bike was purchased as a roller, it had a 124 blower motor in it and the chassis was just too much, guy pulled the drivetrain and is putting it in a pro street bike now.

I been looking at some front ends and other parts for my Ridge but not going to pull a trigger on anything till the insurance comp adjusts everything.

Guys thank you all for good wishes, i just had my medical no fault setup through my insurance company, i have already talked to one lawyer and will sit down with another one on Monday, looks like wheels are going to be put in motion sometime Monday. I have some time to recover and fix the bike, my family and friends have been amazing helping me out with anything and everything.

Damn, hope you heal up quickly. As far as his insurance, don't even bother talking to them. Call a PI attorney right away and give him all the details, your medical bills alone will be thousands.

Damn...! Sorry to hear man. That's fucked up.

As far as the Insurance co... dont take any shit from them. THE FIRST thing I would find out from the Insurance co is what their insured's policy limits were. They HAVE to tell you. That will matter. THEN you know what the possibilities are or arent.

My brother in law was hit a couple years ago. Broke his leg, totalled his bike. Some douche that "didnt see him" turned left in front of him. Took him a year & a half but, he had his bike paid for, all medical, and got a check for $400K. Depending on your profession, this injury cant impact your life alot more than you think it can at the moment.

My BIL was forced to retire from the Marine Corp as a result of his accident/injury.

First it is most important that you will recover which it appears you are well on the way to doing.

I can't believe the bulk of the bike looks OK other than the forks. How are the frame neck and the trees?

Well right now my understanding is..... guy who turned in front of me was driving someone elses car, which means my lawyer will go after the cars insurance company and drivers insurance company, im sure it will be a while and thats fine with me, in mean time i need to have someone cover my medical bills and pay to fix my bike, once im riding again and have use of my leg ill feel like a man again and that alone means a world to me, dealing with a settlement i can wait for, im a patient man, victory taste better after you been starving for it a while.

As far as neck of the frame ill have a friend of mine pull it apart after the adjuster looks at it, right now it might as well be frozen in a capsule, noone is allowed to touch it as crappy as it might look like lol.

I just got this bike 2 months ago, traded my Pitbull for it, i love that ridgeback and even if i dont ride it again ill definately fix it just to have a mental piece of mind.

Back in 03 I had a bad crash, got cut off and layed my sport bike down, i fixed it just to ride it once, after which i sold it, i guess some people like me are just a bit weird about these things lol.
