Correct engine oil.

What kind of engine oil does everyone use?? In the big dog service manual it says RevTec 20/50. Also says DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL. In the ss service manual it says use Mobil 1 20/50 synthetic. What gives???

I use Mobile 1 synthetic in all 3 holes. use to use Amsoil but it became harder to find.

I use Mobil 15-50 synthetic in the engine, 1/2 Qt. low, ATF type F in the primary, 85-140 in the trans.

Asking what oil you like, is like asking what kind of girl do you like. My shop uses Shafiers 20w50. Did some testing when I was turned on to it. Engines were running 25* cooler than Mobile 1

Not sure what he was referring to, but if your Dog is an 05 and newer, with the DSSC thin primary, 20 ozs of primary fluid is what goes in it.

Are you sure ? I can't see what purpose that would serve especially in a 3qt system.

I like the B&M trick shift in the primary. Clutch seems to hold great. DO NOT use synthetic in the primary, your clutch will slip. I've been using the Schaffers 20-50 in both bikes and my 68 454BBC. Great oil. I also like adding some FR3 from HotShots to the oil in all. Use it in my truck too.
