So, the wife and i were riding up to Leesburg this past weekend. I got to the Leesburg exit and my engine sounded horrendous, sounded like a rod was knocking. I whipped it off the street and shut it down, looked over the bike and found that the front cylinder compression release valve was sticking out of the top of the engine! So the "knock" was actually the small (but loud and embarrasing) Pop of compression escaping.
Anyone have this happen to them? Haven't looked at how to repair yet, so i thought i'd share this and get input.
Hope everyone that made it to Leesburg had a great trip... and hope the rest of you had a great ride over the weekend too!
