Yes they will come out without removing the heads....Will they come out without removing the heads, I think not but had a conversation yesterday that confused me![]()
They will, I did a how to that shows it. You will need a special tool from s&s and be careful with the wires. Will they come out without removing the heads, I think not but had a conversation yesterday that confused me![]()
Correct the battery hits 9v .during load .pull the plugs, spin the starter check compression, disconnect the cr's do the same .
compression should be a lot
lower with the cr's hooked up
the speedo will screw up when the batt voltage drops below about 10 volts
What you are describing is almost the exact same thing someone else had....one release would work, one wouldn't intermittently....it ended up being his starter...check your amp draw on starter....anything over 80 amps is not good.
And you can push them down manually as
Why the starter? Not the bad CR.
I will be rebuilding the starter with Curtis when he does that again
There ya go... that's water i needed to understand so I can trouble shoot.Yes they will come out without removing the heads....
Here's a thread found via search.....and a client of mine did his as well the same way....

When Al did his, he used the DIY, but problem remained after new CRs....then we did amp draw on starter and it was 300+ amps....rebuilt starter and no more problem.....There ya go... that's water i needed to understand so I can trouble shoot.
