I lost a friend last Friday. He was headed west out of town, in the left lane. A school bus was in the right lane, making a right hand turn. A kid sitting at the stop sign, felt he was in the way of the school bus, and pulled out, right in front of Scott, who t-boned the kid. Totaled both the bike and the truck. He will be missed, great guy and family man.
Totally senseless! Any loss like that is tragic! thoughts and prayers for the families involved!:(

It's all part of riding. You have to accept the fact that someday someone will pull out in front of you, or turn in front of you. Anyway you should of pulled the person out of the car and ...well you know what to do.
And what? beat the snot out of my neighbors daughter,
:panic: I was watching her and was on the gas before she got to the road:chopper:

Sorry to hear that brother. Just doesn’t make sense.
So today I thought I would go for a ride and coming out of the 3rd driveway from my house, the neighbor comes down her driveway and never looks to her right and comes right out on the road as I'm going by her, then she hits the brakes and looks:oldbang:
What's the saying? most accidents happen close to home.:nonod::nonod:

No matter what you do it's going to happen so you need to be ready. Once I was going down a back road and saw a Lincoln coming the other way. No turn signals but they made a left in front of me on to a side road. I hit the brakes but slid into their front fender and then all the way down the side of the car taking off the mirror. I stopped rested against their rear fender and then they took off dumping me on the pavement. Got the bike back up but flooded it trying to start it. When I did get it started I went looking for them but didn't find them. So it's not just at a stop sign or light that this happens.

The other day I was on a 2 lane back road and came upon 3 cars in back of a garbage truck. The truck would stop in the road to load on garbage stopping us all. I thought just pass him you idiots... A little further up the road he put on his right hand turn signal and I pulled out in the left hand lane and hit it. He then made a LEFT hand turn which put him right in front of me. Lucky I got stopped and lucky there were no cars coming the other way. You never know...
Yeah. I try to ride defensive but sometimes feel the urge to just shoot someone.

Sorry about your friend. Shit happens in an instant. I was having a great ride, woke up 17 days later in intensive care to my loving wife. You just never know. A 16 year old driving while on the cell phone hit me head-on is what the police report said. I never saw her coming.
Safe trails to all the forum bikers (no matter what you ride).. :chopper:
