Maybe someone has already posted on this subject, so sorry if posting again...
For anyone who has had something come loose in the primary, causing metal debris, shavings...you will find a lot of the metal shaving will stick to the magnets of the charging Rotor. Between the magnets and the oil, it makes for kind of a nasty job to clean up. I have found in the past that using some solvent and then blow drying it using shop air cleans the oil off but will not remove the metal shavings. If you take a small plastic bristle brush or stiff tooth brush, with oil cleaned off, most all of the metal shavings will brush right off. Trying to use a rag just seems to move them around and will not clean the rotor off as well as the brush.
