I’m putting the chopper in the shop and while I had it in there I thought I would have them stuff in a new cam. Based on recent posts, I’m leaning towards the Woods 640 but has anyone heard anything about the S&S 675? My goal is to keep the power band low with massive torque. Also, I have the stock air cleaner, any suggestions without spending a lot of money? The Carb is Super E and I wondered if it’s worth XXX’n or if I should go with a plain G for now. The pipes are V&H BR without baffles and there is a lot of popping and backfire. I hear it’s normal with short pipes but it just sounds bad and wondered if a dyno-tune would help. Any feedback would help. Thanks!

my suggestion is to back up, take your time, and do not jump into major mods without giving it a lot of thought and research. know just what you want to accomplish and start from there. just because the bike is in the shop doesn't mean it has to be done right now.
