Here are a few pics of what can happen to the Main shaft of certain years built Baker 6spd DSSC transmissions....
They were built during late 2004 - early 2006. The only way to tell is by checking the case number on transmission ( Right side on top ) or to pull primary apart and check end of Main shaft to verify the look of the treads (also see picture below)

For anyone wondering what can happen if this fails..? In some cases, like this customers, the bike acted as if it was in neutral in all gears. But in other cases, if gears become miss aligned, it can and will lock rear wheel up no matter what speed your going. Just like putting full force on rear brake and not letting off!!
FYI...I have plenty of parts on hand still to rebuild these...

The Main shaft on LEFT is the GOOD shaft...The Main shaft on RIGHT is the BAD shaft...Notice the gap between the threads and the splines of the one on the Right...That's what your looking for...
