Broken clutch cable TSB

Well we all know this is a common issue. Can somebody post the correct info on it and replacement parts links?

Is BDM the only place to get the cable?

If not can you just purchase a standard issue clutch cable? What length? Suggested brands?

I was thinking of ordering a spare... just in case!

I just bought a spare at the going out of business sale for dc crusiers. I still have it in the bag and will see if it has part numbers on it and what size it is in the am.

I was thinking the same thing and wanted a spare. This one got trashed in a VR fire.

This looks like it may be hard to match, however seeing how its hidden no need for chrome

The handle bar end appears to be larger than a standard HD

I 'am going though my parts to see if I have an HD cable to at least match the ends, Adjust no problem0

hey gas man,if your bike is still under factory warr. and you get the right person @ the dealer,they should cover it under warranty.this is an inherent problem and the factory knows this.i had quite a few covered under warr. for customers!! just an FYI,peace Anthony

Mine isn't under warrenty anymore. Besides... I want a banditt cable not anything from BDM.

But without pulling my cable... what is the lengths? Hoat can you get the measurements off your spare?

thats a "banditt" cable with a big dog part number which would lead me to believe that Barnett is making the cables for Big Dog

Yeah I was told that BDM uses barnett to make theirs now. Maybe I'll skip all the added hassle and just order a new one via BDM

Hoat does the same part number one shown here fit the K-9 as well as the Chopper? If it does,i'm going to order one myself
