Wonder what price we could get if we bought spares in a Group Buy?
I may want to get a spare for my Sturgis trip. Mine is going on three years and the last one busted at Little Sturgis so............(stop and go in tittie alley)!

BBD I can check my spare... chop to chop.

But if you just order one thru BDM they will get what you need. I know I feel good about having the extra on the wall.

Oh and it looks exactly like Hoats. In the Barnett packing and all.

I just popped a clutch cable myself.

At least they're not too expensive. I paid 62.50 at Stroker's for mine... came home and popped off the pipes and had a new one on in about 30mins. 10,900mi on the bike.

Clutch problem

Looks like I may have popped one too! 630 miles on the new dog. Just rode it home from BD shop where they performed the 500 mile check-up. First 60 miles the clutch lever was getting slack. Thought the adjustment nut may have back off...nope. Loosened it up, took the slack out of the lever, rode another 30 miles, slack back in the lever again. This is really strange. Called DB shop and they said that these cables are having a problem coming apart at the ends. Mine not even disengaging the clutch now. Crap!:bang:
Sucks living 130 miles away from the nearest shop for warranty work.

Pop the primary cover off and check the clutch hub nut. Sounds like its backing off.

The clutch nut is getting loose. You keep adjusting the the clutch cable to take the slack out of the lever, the nut loosens some more, you adjust the cable adjuster again, what happens is the cable will override the ball and ramp and pop out. Now you will have no lever. Make sure the dealer checks the clutch nut or they will just pull the side cover and see the cable came loose at the ball and ramp and just reinstall it and send you on your way.

Hey Guys -

I have a clutch cable that was on my bike for about three weeks before I changed the handle bars and had to buy a longer one. So if anyone is interested in the cable PM and I will be happy to give a great price on it. Thanks.
