Stay with the cable!!!!!!!!!!

Keep it with you on long trips in da trailer. :D
Trailer...? What trailer?! I bought mine to ride, not to log phantom miles!!!:roll::roll::roll:

06 K9 with 30k. On my 3rd cable now. Shit happens. We just gota deal with it. On extended trips, now carry spare with me.

Hw do you "limp home" with a broken cable? I never once was able to "limp home" with a broken cable, after three of them. I have over 7000 miles on my hydraulic clutch with zero issues so far. It has a dramatically easier pull and I "never" have to adjust it, unlike my cable system. Not to mention no exposed cables is dramaticaaly sweeter looking than a cable. Don't go ballistic on me please I am just asking for real life examples because if hydraulic clutches do have issues I would like to be prepared in advance. Also, since I have pipes that lay over the clutch adjustment access the pipes have to be removed to replace the clutch cable, not something I want to do with a simple tool roll on the side of the freeway. Any intelligent, accurate responses would be greatly appreciated.
Agree with you, Kap! Busted two cables so far AND HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO LIMP!!! Bike was simply outa commission. PERIOD!!! First time had to leave stranded at 2 am at a deserted church alongside the road in the middle of a cornfield, and the second called tow truck. Clutch cable snaps at the trany (where mine did both times), there IS no limping. I know. I tried. And replacing them along the shoulder is a royal pain in the fkn ass! Especially when, like Kap, you gota remove the lower pipe to get to everything!!!

30k on my 06 K9 now. Over 10k on present clutch cable. Know I'm on borrowed time. You're hydraulic setup interests me, Kap. If you don't mind, PM with more details...
