Brake question - hopefully simple fix

I have a brake question for you guys. I just replaced the rear brake pads on my 06 K-9. When I have the bike up on the jack and I rotate the wheel, it causes an intermittent howling noise, like a vibration. What could be causing this? Does it have something to do with the floating rotor? Thanks for the input.

Have the pads been broken in? Could be the pads are a little off and need to be broken in to the rotor. Could be a warped rotor also. Did you make sure the caliper is centered on the rotor. It could be a number of things.

I would ride it a little and re-check, sounds like the pads and rotor are not meshing up good, and yes it could be a warped rotor or pistons not releasing freely in the caliper. What kind of pads did you use?
