Hello, I am new to the forum . I have a 2002 bulldog with 20,000 miles on it.The head gaskets have been weeping and finally blew. Th engine is a tp 107. I believe the lower is tp and the upper is a mix of edelbrock jugs and ss heads but I am not sure. I know the lower is definitely tp. Any info or advise before I tear into the motor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Greg

you can call TP engineering ( duke wainright - vice president), I have talked to several different people over the years and they have all been very helpful. I have also purchased parts from them, most times a little cheaper. 203-744-4960

IIRC, TP had issues with their head/head gasket combo ( Edelbrock Heads ) several years ago.
Apparently the head bolt area needed to be spot faced as the wrong angle was machined during production.

I have a 2001 BD Wolf w/ 107 and the guy at TP told me the only thing on the engine that is true TP are the jugs, rocker boxes, and crank case. BD factory put in edelbrock heads, jims roller rockers, s&s crank and connecting rods, crane cam, jims breather gear, and wiseco pistons. So its pretty much a mutt motor.

Blown Gasket

I just bought a 2005 NBC with a 121 TP motor, the bike has less than 400 miles on it and has been used in shows all it's life, but I blew a head gasket my first day.
I've been talking to them at TP, I'm hoping they will help with it some.
