So when the bike cuts off, do you lose all power, meaning does your lights go out or do they stay on?

Double check your terminals, take em off and clean each one then put em back on and tighten em down. Good luck with the scoot!

Sorry, just being a smart ass, every time you turn around there's something different going wrong with the ECH, the cold test is suppose to be a real thing, the hot test is what I was being an ass about. I had a bad day:oldangry:

It has a JST connector inside the coil cover, if you can unplug it you could jumper the connector with a paper clip. There is a cable clip that holds the wire in place and you prolly have to remove the coil cover to get access to the cable clamp for the switch, If it is the switch I have used a 9N tractor switch p/n 8N36from Tractor Supply on my bike, the key cylinder fits perfect without any modification other than putting or splicing the existing JST connector to the new switch.

Similar situation happened with my bike, tracked it down to ignition switch. Got a BD replacement switch from Jeff at DOC's, a little more expensive than Ker's solution ($89.95, I just really wanted BDM key for my bike. While I was waiting for delivery of my replacement switch I had just put a toggle switch on so I could at least take it for a scoot. Good luck, hope it's a simple fix.
