Glad to hear that you are okay also and the bike is not too bad. The unfortunate thing is with bikes you never are sure how it will end up. More a case of experience, circumstance, equipment and just luck of the draw.

The best thing is to ride on the defense and never assume that the other will do what should and more along the lines of they will do what they shoudl not and thus more prepared.

Was not a good week up here either. Had on get killed when he hit another bike in front of him when they both got off the interstate on the exit ramp.

Everyone be careful out there and make it home to the loved ones and many more days and night of joyful riding.

Sorry to hear about that accident. Good job on staying alert! Seems many an idiot is out on the roads. I was in my car last month and a stupid girl rearended me. I was stopped on the road a good 2 minutes behind a BUS! She said she didn't see me. Guess the bus wasn't a good enough clue there was a block in the road. :job: Anyways, I told her I was glad I wasn't on my bike. I sure have been watching the rearviews at stops now though!
Yeppers... watch your 6 when you're sitting and keep the bike in gear... make a re-treat if you see the "OH FUCK'ing" coming.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I am very lucky. God only knows how bad it would've been had I actually hit the car. I almost got off the brakes enough to successfully make the turn to miss the car. Its just one of those things I guess.

Now that people are on cell phones, etc. in the car makes it worse than ever. I just hope my little story will keep everyone on their toes. I expect to be able to ride by next week. I will be a little gun shy at first I am sure.

Thanks for the story, I live in the city and this will help me keep my thoughts where they belong. Glad to hear your bike is ok and good luck getting back on the road.

I guess an accident or two is just the price of doing business. I do thank god it wasn't worse, that's for sure.

I am having new pegs and grips put on this week and will be rolling for Myrtle Beach. I just hope my shoulder will let me ride a bunch. I may have to take short rides for a while.
