Big Dog on the Dyno

Hey guys...took my 2009 K9 in to Gateway Big Dog in STL. I was getting some deaccel pop. After talking with the guys at the shop I replaced the crush gaskets (I also "modified" the baffle while I had the exhaust off) I have a V&H 2 into one. Carb, not injected.

Curious to see what kind of numbers I get, HP/Torque. What have you guys got when you dynoed yours?

Also going to have them look at the steering, get a wobble around 90 mph.

It was sad to leave it there, like when a dog sees their owner leaving to go to work. :(

Interested to hear your comments on numbers for the dyno!

Stock cam 546, V&H 2 into 1, and K&N filter. If I were to do anything, I would put in the 585 cam. But my bike runs good and I believe the 585 would only get me more torque. I am happy with what I have.

I would ask Tim at Gateway about changing the ignition while your there, they replaced mine with the Thunderheart, it did make a difference.

Basically Stock pipes /K&N stock cam pretty happy with the set up ...was a little shy on excell pump setting and a bit rich on intermediate but it seems happy and runs strong!

Well the results are in. with a stock air cleaner and 2 into 1 V&H I was putting out 110 horse, 128 lbs torque.

Upgraded the intake to a s&s dual runner. Tim said it would add 5 horse, and some torque. So now i'm about 115 horse, and low 130s for torque.

Stock cam.

Not bad eh?
