My wife rides an Iron Horse (Texas Chopper)
they have been out of business for a while now
but You don't see low dollar horses out there
good quality bikes will always be in demand.
Prices may go up and down a little with the economy
the way it is. but you won't be sorry for buying your bike.
Go for it!!! :choppersmiley:

That's great news!! Hopefully the European market can keep them going.

just got back from Germany. All I saw was Rice Burners and BMW's. Was in Baveria, and Austria. Saw 3 Harley's. Great roads to ride on. Wished I had my dog there. Should be a great market for BDM

My best friend from highschool lives in Germany. Visited me last night and saw the Dog. He thought they will do well in Germany. Big Demand for American bikes over there right now and customs. Can you imagine, pack of of Dogs on the Autobaun.:job:

On the Autobahn you need other bikes - Hayabusas for example .

I used to go more than 180 mph with my Alpina B3S (tuned BMW). But I'm away from these mad things. Today I drive a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali, that I imported from the US......... Much more relaxing and it educates you not to speed :D.

No problems within >25000 miles. In that time I had to put the BMW to service much more often.....

I love American Iron .

My friend will be in SC in September and will look for a BD for ME :flag:!!!

Still not sure to go for a Pitbull (rigid, but love the design) or a K9 (no highneckers here in Germany - will attract police for control: exhaust, noise, emmissions - bad bad country here for bikers :loony::job:).

Ride the dream bike forget about the rest, the chopper craze will come and go, but people will always stop and look at the work of art we ride, I deal with bikes and I know that Big Dog will always have better value then the reast.
Fuck baggers, today they are hot but 2 years ago people who ride them called them old man bikes. If you are true to a chopper nothing else can make you happy. Maybe a turbo Busa with 480hp to the rear :)

Took my Harley with me when I was stationed in Stuttgart. Rode the autobahn once and was almost run over by Germans slowing down to see the crazy American riding the Harley in the slow lane (90+mph). But it more then made up for that when I would stop in at the local Taverns, Gasthaus, and other watering holes.
I met a lot of nice people wherever I parked my Harley who often pointed at the motor asking questions. Being the nice American, answering there questions usually led to drinking a few biers and picture taking with good looking fraulines.

Yes, I think BD will do well in that environment. :2thumbs:

Good news from Germany!!!

The German importer Custom-Garage sells a lot of Big Dogs  .

He even does not have enough bikes for demonstration at the big meets here....
All gone!

That's what I read in German Harley forums.

Good luck, BDM!

I heard the same thing in laughlin in April from another bike builder. Chopper sales were improving and very good in Europe
people love this style of bike and sure the craze is over but the big problem is financing.
My harley friends hate when my bike gets mentioned everywhere we go.
We went to a harley event last weekend at a dealer and my K9 was surrounded.
When credit becomes available these bikes will sell if there are any manufacturers still around.
These used bikes are a hell of a buy in the mid teens compared to a harley

In 2007 was at a bar one night in O'Fallon, MO and the guy sitting next to me was telling be about his 3 month trip to Europe. He was fresh out of school and wanted an adventure before he went to work in the real world. He told me he would have killed to have had my k9 for his trip over there. He said that bike would have made you a rock star in Europe. Evidently the american bad boy bikes are a big hit over there. Did anyone notice the striking similarities between the 2010 Triumph Thunderbird and your average middle tier Harley?

Now, is BDM is trouble? Yep. Is there a market in Europe for bad ass American bikes? Evidently. Can bdm hold on? I don't know. Does encouraging European sales numbers of BDM bikes constitute some good news? Hell yeah!
