This is Horrible and could happen to any of us. I will pray for him each day until he is better! I also send my best to the family and hope they can stay strong. He will need their strength. God Bless

Sorry, but the toasting beer at the bottom is always there... didn't know how to get rid of it... it is not appropriate for this message. It is not intentional.

Afternoon Update:

Joe has been called CODE twice already and there's swelling on the brain causing this. His family is all with him now in Panama City Beach. Thank you BDB Group for your prayers and kind support. Mastiff Dave is there alone with him (it's his very good friend) and we won't see him until Monday. If you know Mastiff Dave, just shoot him a text... He needs his Big Dog Family support right now.

I'll keep you posted...

UPDATE:

Mastiff Dave contacted us this morning at 5:30 a.m. with news about Joe Landers (aka "Chief"). Here are the details,

Joe was meeting his friend he hadn't seen in 6 years just returning from Iraq. They were headed down Thomas Drive (in front of Ms Newbys) when a drunk driver pulled out and turned in to Joe. He didn't have a chance to even stop. The driver left the scene, however, late last night they found the man (drunk and had drugs on him). He is now in custody.

Joe is in recovery as of this morning. He has brain injury, broken pelvis, arm and losing a lot of blood. His girlfriend and children are flying in today.

THIS IS SUCH A TRAGEDY FOR ANYONE! Prayers are needed for Joe, his family, and our friends there with him now.

I am posting on behalf of Mastiff Dave. Our hearts go out and Joe, we are sending many prayers your way...

MY ORIGINAL POST LAST NIGHT...
ATTENTION ALL BIG DOGGERS....
Mastiff Dave and Joe (aka "Chief") are in Panama City Beach already. Tonight a Drunk Driver pulled out of Ms. Newbys and hit Chief. As of now, he is in Critical Condition (hospital not known at this time).

Prayers are needed for Chief. For those who did the BDB Ride at the BBQ Fayetteville last fall, he was the officer who led us out that morning for our ride.

I pray that everyone has a safe trip to PCB and I will keep everyone posted as I find out more information from Mastiff Dave.

Thanks everyone!

Up date.

First I would like to thank all for the prayers and support during this horrible time. I finally have his three children and girl friend at his side in PCB after juggling flights and shuttles all last night they arrived about noon today.

The brain has massive swelling along with split pelvis and broken arm. they rmoved most of the left side of his skull to relieve the pressure when he coded out on them and was brought back twice during this procedure.

Joe is 51 years old and in great shape so long as he is alive ther is still a chance at improvement. Its just sad that after spending a life time serving and protecting to be taken out by a low life scum.

I might add that He had not had any thing to drink that day or night that would have impaired his judgment to riding a motorcycle.

Even tho he did not ride a Big dog Motorcyle he was very proud of the friendships and the closeness of our group and was so excited to see our friends and the chance to meet new ones of the BIG DOG Biker group.

The final prognosis is the Doctors have done all they can do so its up to Joe and the medicine and the power of prayer to decide the out come. Again Thank YOU all at BIG DOG BIKER for the support and prayers.
