One of my favorite pictures of the year was this one with Travis at Whistler in BC
That IS a Great photo! Travis, Heavy snow falling, Snow covered trees, Lift in background. That picture could win a photography contest!:2thumbs:

Bet Travis needed 'windshield wipers' for his goggles!

Ken you say the down side of retirement is it means you're getting old. I've always heard you're only as old as you feel, and from the look of your adventures this year you must not be feeling too old :2thumbs: Awesome pics man!

Lets see if I can get a few up.
Tristan my 2 year old granson
Some eastern Oregon pics of my favorite rideing area, & managed to hit 100K this year,,,, MILES of SMILES :D :D :D
I was up on Rainer a few weekends back and thought about going all the way over to your neck of the woods, but there is only so many times I am willing to stop and warm the hands off the exhaust. It was getting cold.
Every night I go by the 49er, thoughts turn to you and Melissa.
Mostly Melissa:D:2thumbs:

Good to see you finally hit that milestone! :2thumbs:
Cute grandson that Triston is.:D

We need to hook up with the CycleFish group as they are also into long weekend trips.

100,000 miles on an '05 DAMN!!! Congrats :flag::2thumbs:

First off GREAT thread !! 2011 NOT much riding got done .. Work and buying a new house got in the way ...This was the first year I can remember in a long time that I did not jet off and dive somewhere:( ,or did not ride off into the sunset to some bike rally "although I guess ridding up to Lorton 95miles each way and putting the Bagger on the auto train accounts for a trip " I'm not complaining ..the new digs are amazing .. I have sooo many projects and have a few new friends !!!!! We have lots to be thankful for ..we missed out on damage to the new and old house "that now sits empty:angry:" the storms we had in 2011 will be remembered for a long time .

.even a dam earth quake  WTF ! looking back it was a good year ..not many miles on the dog but got the clutch sorted out for good I hope !
The trip to Daytona was good ...getting a ticket for not turning my headlight on was a sore spot but it never showed up on my license and it just reinforces my dislike for some people

And no that was not the police man ..it was a ????????

Hears to my extended family  Happy New Year to you all!!:flag:

Many highs and lows for me this year. Oldest got married, youngest won a championship and almost lost a Brother but he pulled through. Just a few variety pics.

2011 when you think back on it and actually put things down it was a fairly. good year.
Like some others in the spring meeting large Andrew and seeing the miracles that unfolded during his trials was very inspiring. My first trip to The Thunder Beach bike rally in Florida and all the many friends that was made was definitly a high point and will become a yearly event for all of us.
Of course Sturgis was a big event for me this year as I had cousins that purchased a nice house and 20 acres real close to sturgis this year so I had all the comforts of home. It was also where I got my Indian name ( Chief Black Cloud ) as it rained on me and whoever was unlucky enough to be close to me for 7 days straight. Just ask Dakotabos about our group ride from the camp ground to deadwood. LOL
Bikes Blues and BBq in my Home town had to be the best part of the year by playing host to all the many friends that came from all parts of the country to experience this rally. I lost lots of sleep over planing the first ever group ride and dinner, expecting 15 riders and than watching it snowball into 75 + bikes. It was quite a good feeling watching the ride and dinner being pulled off with such precise tolerences. Four diferent city units of police, two diferent countys and one State police unit was all used for traffic controll on our group ride.No one got lost or left behind either.
My mother cellibrated her 80th birth day by helping serve BBQ to all my Big dog friends . What was especially heart warming was the way all at this event ride went out of there way to wish her a happy birthday and made her feel so at home.. My wife was also at this event helping out and it was the first time in 9 years that she participated in bike event with me and is looking to do more .
:2thumbs: Maybe we can talk her into Thunder Beach this spring.
Sorry No pictures were included but that is my new years resolution to get this picture post thing figured out. A member has offered to tutor me on posting pictures so if she doesnt lose patience with me maybe Ill get it .
Thanks to all my many Friends in the Big Dog Biker family for making this a great year for me..

I was Dogless for most of 2011, so that really sucked.

We did make it to Sturgis on the Harley though.

Arrived cold and wet.

Cigars in Deadwood.

Shots in Hulett.

Made it down to Arkansas for BBB. Met Ray and Biker Babe.

And found 2003 Chopper in Tulsa,OK.

Ready for a good 2012.

Jeff, I love that pic of you and your darling wife in AR! It was such a pleasure meeting you both!

Where did you find your bike? I'm trying to figure out by the pic. Was that at Action?
Did you come to Tulsa to get it or did you have it delivered?

I got it at Brookside Cycle. It's a nice little indy shop on Peroria Ave. We drove back down a few weeks after BBB and I rode it back home, after a small detour through the Ozarks again :)
