First off:

Ray: Great next generation photo of your son.
Carlos: The wife's trike turned out great, congrats.
Steve: Keep building those "Best of" memories.
Bill: Hope you still have the Pittbull even though the new K-9 is awesome.
BB: Thanks for the reminder of Large Andrew, that was a moment for us all.
Tom: Same as Steve, keep building those "Best of" memories.
Tim: We New Yorkers will need to see if we can get together this year for a ride.
Alan: Keep us posted on the Longevity status of your Metzler.
Pablo: If that's you holding the sign, better figure out which end is up, nice collection of pics though.
Chili: Lookin very comfortable on your pup, like the bike lineup photo.
Hazmatdave: Congrats, great looking bike.

2011 was a continuation of a transition for me. I split up with my ole lady of 28 years in the fall of 2010. In hind site, I waited too long. It was over decades ago and we stayed together for our sons. Good for them, bad for us. I added quite a few things on the bike throughout 2011 and put on maybe 4000 miles. Took a lot of memorable rides and dice runs during the duration of the summer and found new friends both here and on the road.
Now to address the purpose of the thread, I'm afraid I can't offer anything related to my bike as the "Best of" for comes in the form of a new life from my own perspective and the arrival of my first grandchild, Allen. Welcome to my life Allen and Grandpa loves you very much.

The annual Rolling Thunder ride into DC. Good to see a lot of members from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland that I have met before and to meet several others.

The videos that I posted

Laurel into DC via the Baltimore Washington Parkway and New York Avenue

Through the streets of DC. About 2 minutes in, you can see Marv starting to blow smoke.

and the thread with lots of pictures and some of the coordination involved getting many groups to meet up for the ride

Hope everyone has a happy and safe new year!!! Have tons of fun Sat. night and drink lots of liquor (I need the money)! I will be staying home to leave the drinking and driving to the amatuers! Entering the scoot in the bike night competition, I usually don't enter in shows because I'd rather ride and show it as I ride... :D

And Hooters with Hockeyfan, fun with friends...

A big Thanks to Raywood for this Thread because it lets me see what you all have done this past year! (Some Great Stuff)! AND it made me 'review' my year and see how fortunate and Blessed I have been.

This past year was my first full year of retirement and I highly recommend it! (Beats the Hell out of work, but the down side is that you are getting old)!

Like many of you, I have done a lot of FUN and Memorable things this past year! There were so many, I will just quickly post a pic from each.

At the beginning of last year my daughter came to visit and we hiked Angels Landing.

In April, Linda and I went on a Mexican Riviera Cruise.

In June, my good friend Moespeeds traveled out to ride with us to the Grand Canyon and to Utah's National Parks. This would be the first of two rides we would do together in 2011 and the fourth since we met on this forum!

Probably one of the best events for me in 2011 was my surprise photoshoot which happened all because of my hardbody gym friend, Mandy! (July)

Also in July, I went on a very grueling but fabulous (sometimes scary) hike in Zion NP called the Subway. Don't miss this in your lifetime! Ya had to swim with pack thru this!

In August we traveled to Colorado for my Son's wedding.

In October Linda and I traveled to the high Uinta mountains of Utah and also saw Flaming George Reservoir and Dinosaur Nat Park. Would be a fabulous ride in the summer!

Moe and I (November) in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico for the Rocky Point Rally. Our second ride together in 2011. Over 1200 miles ride for me.

Our 10 day Panama Canal Cruise in Nov/Dec. We also visited Costa Rica, Bonaire, Aruba, and an island in the Bahamas.

In late December my friend Mike took me for a ride in his new toy (Polaris Ranger). This is just over the hill behind our house!

And we just got back from a 5 day trip to SoCal for a wonderful Christmas with family.

I apologize that I got 'carried away' (I actually left a lot of rides and rallys out) but it has been a great and eventful year and being retired has helped.

Linda and I are looking forward to another FUN year in 2012. AND we wish you and yours a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

When I get there I hope my retirement is enjoyable as yours looks!

Seeing all you guys make me realize I did nothing good this year except buy the bike and work. No good trips to speak of longest one was a 250 Mile trip home from where I bought it :(

I had a huge trip planned back in October but the bike broke down on me on the way out of town, I am thankful that it was only 45 minutes away rather than 3 or 4 hours away! Found out the harness was bad (there was a recall on the main power harness of the 04 models for coming loose) Did a temp fix and didn't feel comfortable leaving town. WirePlus is scheduled for this winter to get back on road and be reliable for next year!

I hope to meet some of you next year! I plan on hitting a few rallies!

The latest mods to my 2006 Mastiff that can be seen, a two up seat and the Supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust. Also added a Dakota Digital speedometer this fall

50+ degree day at the end of December so I had to take the Dog for a run
