Al, I put in the 32/78. Seems to run great after I adjusted the carb. I ran it down the street at around 3500 RPM, shut er down. Pulled plug, seems on the whiter side(I put in new champion plugs before I ran it) what will happen if its alittle lean, just run hot? Should I bump it up to a 80 main? I amriding to Vegas next weekend(250 mi 1 way) and dont want to F it up. I had a 31 in it before, so my low end should be fatter, its the top end i am worried about. With that setup 84 is way too big, thats where your mileage is going. I'm running full size valves 2.0 int/1.625 exh. 10.8 comp w9f cam and xxx carb. According to my air fuel meter its dialed in pretty good with a 32/78 combo. The atomizer in the xxx carb mod breaks up the fuel into smaller droplets which equates to a more efficient burn which means smaller jets. On a stock unmodified G carb your jets would be in the 33/80 range because it would need the extra fuel with those motor mods.
