Good Luck Will, and at least Big dog owners have someone to call, unlike me and the rest of the AIH owners.

Thanks Cecil, it's a good thing for you I know AIHs. We have wrenched on plenty of them and able to find some of the part that you may need...if you ever do? But feel free to contact me if you ever have a question on your ride. Hope it's running strong for you.

their shop is where sinbads auto used to be ,will is the man!!! he has done all my service and installed wires plus on my k9 this past winter ,great guy !!! and he even makes houe calls...: )

C.A.Jones is the Company name we came up with....or I should say a friend of ours did. My idea name was Doug and Will's Bike Shop. Air Capital Recovery was about five year ago....which never happen. The picture is one of the bikes I have built for the guy that was going to finance that company. We are real and know what we are doing. There are Bigdog owners on here that have been to our shop....and yes we make house calls too.

The fog is lifting! So tell us about Doug! And good luck in your new venture.

Kansas, though... Commercial space in the Tampa area is going for cheap. Blue skies, Gulf breeze, babes in bikinis all year 'round... I'm just sayin'

I didn't know anything about it either!!!

Maybe the Service Center would have done better if they'd have let people know about it!!! :loony:

Dennis
LOL. But that would mean they (BDPP) would have to update their web site...... We all know how often that happens

Good luck with your new venture.

Let me just tell you what I think as if I haven't. Unless a BD owner is close to you, all we can do is talk to you on the phone! I don't believe calling for an appointment like calling the Doctor's office, isn't going to work for most of us. So, we will continue to work on our own bikes learning as we go. Again, good luck with the business. Look at it this way. Only 3 people like the Facebook page listed!
Calling for an appointment is what anyone would do with any bike shop. You wouldnt just rock up, drop your bike off and not know when it can be worked on would you? I wouldnt. Id call and make an appointment to when it could be looked at. As for the FB page, those are generic pages set up by FB. You can almost look up any business and youll find one similar. Note the lack of details.

OK, I screwed this all up - Sorry.

I think the lack of details is why I started asking questions. The last thing we need is another Vince81. Why don't they have a real website? When I searched for them, their Facebook page didn't come up! It seems to me, they are word of mouth.

I don't let anyone do maintenance on my stuff so I am not familiar with appointments. If I were to go to a bike shop, I would drop it off and say "Get to it when you can". I do remember taking my 1999 Dodge 3/4 4WD Cummins to be worked on and you showed up and if they weren't open, you dropped you key in a drop box. So, what do I know. Apparently nothing.

Look, I do wish them the best of luck in the economy we have.

Again, Sorry about my posts.
Is all good.
I got to agree with now not letting anyone I dont know work on my bike. I now do pretty much everything myself. But I am still limited on what I can do so have to get the shop to look at from time to time (only to press out and in my new bearings so far). I had an experience where the tech (not at a local shop) actually dropped my bike putting dyna beads in lol. That was my wake up call.

I know that there are still a lot of businesses that are offline and just go by word of mouth and reputation. I know of quite a few. Especially older ones that are only targeting local clientele and new ones that dont have the time, personel and ability to do so. So I wouldnt be worried too much if I couldnt find them online.... Unless I was sending something to them or traveling to go there (have been stung like that aswell lol).

Good Luck Will. Dont pay attention to the negitive posts. Stay positive and all will be good. We need to keep people around that know these Dogs. The support we had for the Wire Plus got beat up and he quit, Now nobody can seem to find kits or get much help from Wire Plus. Keep up the great work.
