I wonder if some other ball/ramp will work?

Update on the easy pull ball and ramp. I was able to purchase just the easy pull ball and ramp(ball and ramp inner). Lifestyles Honda Seattle. $28.49 They came in a baker drivetrain bag so I wonder if you could just call baker vs. going through a dealer? anyhow the part number is 120-000036-00.
Item Desc. Ball and Ramp Inner. I assumed that the ball bearings would come with but nope. Now I need to know, can I use the three original ball bearing in my stock setup with the new easy pull ball and Ramp? I think I might have to make another Phone call?

I think you do use the original balls

as for less tension on the clutch cable I would say there must be. Should be better for the cables

I have installed just the ramps and used the old balls and your absolutely right Lee, it is easier on the cable, its directly proportioned.

the original clutch has more discs and the one with the kit only has 9 disc's which is a little thinner overall. I used my original clutch pack and when adjusting the clutch you are right on the edge as far as- sometimes you can put it in neutral at a red light sometimes you can't. It almost feels like it wants to pull or clutch is slightly engaged when sitting in gear with the clutch pulled in. What I did was to adjust the clutch rod with a happy medium. Manual says when adjusting push rod, turn to it starts to feel snug and back-off 1/4 turn and lock nut. Well mines probably adjusted closer to the snug side and it gives me situation that I'm happy with but tolerable. I catch neutral before I stop for a red light and thats acceptable for me.

Hell that sounds normal to me without the new B/R set-up...the adj on these clutches is finiky...got to be right on or its wrong,:lol::lol:

My K9 is only difficult to get into N if I do not let the clutch out in 2nd or 1st before I stop. If I roll to a stop and downshift without letting the clutch out after getting into 1st or 2nd I can not find N without turning the dog off. I am not a trans guy so I don't know what is going on here but I am interrested in the ball ramp set up if I don't make this worse than it is.

I purchased the ball and ramp set from Precision Bikeworks Ltd. in Erie Pa.( BDM Dealer 814-866-5795) Ball and Ramp outer piece #120-000035-00. Ball and Ramp inner piece #120-00036-00 . Both pieces for around 60.00 dollars. I installed it myself. Check for threads on changing the clutch cable, its the same procedure. It did make a difference on the lever effort, much nicer to use now. I did not make the clutch plate changeover.

Thanks for the great info. Hard for an amateur to do?

Heres The low low on the softpull clutch stuff or should I say the real deal the kit straight from Baker shipped to Mississippi from Baker cost $45.15 Baker parts numbers are 3104-DSSC AND 3105-DSSC for a 9 plate clutch, I`m running a 4in Karata with mine and it helped a bunch but you do have to adjust the clutch properly.
All them folks believin you gotta be buying all the clutch and tranny stuff from BigDog when they won`t even answer the phone.........Call Baker up, ask them for tech support and they will sell you anything at about a quarter to half off what we would pay from Bigdog
not to mention they will rebuild a transmission for a hundred bucks plus parts

I had mine installed 2 weeks ago and from someone with carpel tunnel and ulner nerve damage, the soft clutch is a miracle! The BDM ball/ramp assembly was backorder at first (like all BDM parts now), but did come in and it is well worth the investment.
