Thanks for the update and now I see your frustrations more. The ground in the frame does sound like a good place to start and it can be a bitch to locate for sure. Would not be the first time one went to throwing parts at something only to it or another come back due to a bad wire. When this 3rd EHC went out in my bike back in March I emailed BDM after I found out it was going to cost me $540 bucks..I went home to put the new one in so I could go ride that day and the connectors were different..(male versus female or vise versa?)I drove back up to Nashville the next day to see if they had given me the wrong one and thats when I found out that BDM had paid R&B to change the connectors and EHC to 09 models last year when the bike was still under warranty.I bought the bike in 06, and it was a leftover model from 05.I had been having problems with everything electrical on the bike right from the 300 mile mark...It has blown everything that is electrical at least 1 time..The headlight blew 4 times before the recall came out on the housing.Even the speedometer has been changed out 1 time.I emailed BDM for 2 months asking for some help and finally went on Facebook .com and left some words and they finally responded to me and asked to talk privately.(It's still on there) ..When they called the gentleman that I talked to said that I must have a wire inside my frame somewhere grounding out somewhere and they were not going to help fix this reacurring problem unless I paid them to do it..I was furious that day and could not believe how this guy acted...He made me feel like I was asking him to buy this bike back with his money. All I have ever asked is for them to help find the problem.I never asked for any refund or credit on the EHC I had to buy myself.I filed with BBB shortly after that and asked only for them to find out my problem.Traci from BDM called after the BBB filed the complaint and asked about my electrical add ons..I told her that I didnt have any because i had already been warned about adding stuff to these bikes.Even a license plate light will mess them up according to BDM..She agreed that my bike had had some issues and if I would carry it back they would pay for the labor if I paid for all other cost.I agreed and it just was my luck that I went to go out on the bike last weekend and it wouldnt start anyway..So since they made the offer I told her it was fucked up again anyway and it would be there the next day.I took it in yesterday and he checked the battery and it was gone..Of course now hopefully he is going to go through the bike and see whats actually doing all of this. When I can afford to I will be changing my elec. system to wire plus system.I still owe $14k on the bike since I refinaced because of divorce and my business has slowed so much..If not for BBB I would of never got any help..I own my own Construction Company and I hated to do that because I wouldn't want that done to me but I'm tellin you the customer service at BDM is awful and they assumed I wouldnt buy another BDM I guess...
That is true. I've been out for awhile now so, that is not much of an issue.Hey Bubblehead..... ya'll don't have time to call when ya sub down 3000m or so!!!!! Thats why you guys are da shiznit!!!!!!!
