I think it's a brilliant idea but price will be key. If they plan to build a 40k bagger it will flop.:hi: Now something in the 25k-30k range that has more motor, more upgrades than harley stock makes sense. Also they better have changed the wiring because a road trip bike needs better connections in my opinion.

Nick Messer told us about it at Daytona this year, sound like a good idea. That was part of the fall of the Choppa. Marketing BS.:job: But it makes them money.:)
Oh he's gone, saved them money I guess.:eek:

The new Bagger list price starts at $37,500 according to my dealer who was at the show. Said the prototype looked very sharp and was very comfortable to sit on, but they didn't get to ride because it rained the whole time there.

What's that ledge hanging off the back fender. Maybe a good place for a milk crate. Just kidding. I will still want to see one. Raywwod, is this your style? Are thinking of getting one?

I love riding my '05 Chopper much more than my '03 Screamin' Eagle Roadking...it's just more "fun" and adrenaline boosting, plain and simple.:whoop: :2thumbs:

BUT, that being said, there have been so many times I'd wished I had somewhere to safely secure my leather jacket, rain gear, whatever. I don't need a 'lot' of luggage space, but "some" would sure be nice.

In that respect, I'm interested in Big Dog's new 'Bagger" but as some of you said earleir, I want to see it, sit on it and get field testing reports on:
1. Electrical connections - when you tour, you're ineveitably going to encounter some rain;
2. Are the bags 'detachable'? ie - can you easily convert back to a custom street cruiser in less than 5 minutes;
3. What about the 'batwing' fairing...gotta see that one one in person to decide. And will it effectively deflect wind on 6ft+ riders? If not, will a 12" tinted Klockwerks Molded Windshield fit on this new fairing or are we stuck w/OEM;
4. Will the complete chrome package be available from the start?
5. Will Level 6 - 8 paint schemes be available from the start?

Again, I'm interested but have LOTS of questions. I hear they won't start manufacturing until January, so...looks like we'll just have to "wait and see".:confused:

A $40,000.00 touring bike is going to be a hard sell. Don't get me wrong I hope they sell a bunch of them. You don't see a lot of Screaming Eagle Ultra Classics running up and down the road....and they would be cheaper.

For 37k I'll just get a road glide with a big bore kit and liver happily ever after....sorry big dog. Wrong move all together.

I would have to agree, a BDM Bagger would be cool but not for that kind of $$$. I think I would spend less and go with a Screaming Eagle CVO Ultra Classic. Pricing will definatley be key and I think they setting the bar a little to high right off the bat.

Looks like some "softail pitbull" with some plastic shit hung all over it! I don't like it! :down: (but what do I know, I'm just an old opinionated bastard).

Just go buy an Ultra Classic or worse yet a Goldwing!

:agree:
I cant imagine with the rake, and the swingarm w/hidden shock that it could compare to the touring rides either?...

I wonder how BigBear is doing with theirs...
