Bad battery?

Today I went to take the bike for a ride. I turned the key on and the only response I got was the hazards flashing. I have the battery on a tender and it indicates a full charge. I rode the bike on Monday and no issues.

I sure hope its a battery. I plan on taking it out and taking it to the Harley dealership and having it tested. Is the flashing hazards a symptom of a bad battery?

Not sure of the age. Bought the bike a year ago and it came w the battery. It has a drag specialties 310 cranking amp battery.

Yea, get a higher quality battery with a lot more cca.

When I initially had the problem and checked the battery for loose connections the positive was a little loose. So I tightened it up. Same issue - just hazard lights when I turned the key on.

Well my battery is fine. I had it load tested at the Harley dealership and it tested okay. When I returned from the Harley dealership I put the battery back in and turned on the key - all is fine.

Question - is there some type of reset with the ECU? I had the battery out for a couple days. Is it possible that a loose connection would need you to disconnect totally for some time period to reset some fault?

I do not believe there is a reset....maybe connection wasn't tight enough before? Possbily just got a better bite on the terminals when you hooked it all back up?

Tight doesn’t necessarily mean clean, or getting a good connection.
For that you need to check continuity between the wire and the battery terminal (not the bolt).
