avon cobra?

Hey,does anyone know if they ever solved tire splitting problem?Mine started to show splitting at less than 200 miles said they would replace or give me $228.back after i send tire what would you guys do ? thinking of taking cash and get metzelers.

Yep take the money. I had a Avon POS on the GTX do the same thing and junked it. Sticking with Metzlers until another company can compete with their quality -- Avon sure can't.

I went with the Dunlop elite 3 mainly because no one else has tried it that i know of. I will say this with the elite your back is all tire. It just barely fits. i dont know about the 300 though.

Guess I'm lucky. I've owned nothing but Avon Cobra's and NEVER had a problem with one. The last set lasted me 15,400 miles.... best of any tire I've owned yet. They WERE bald when I finally got a new set but, hey, they did last me quite a long ride. I've got another set on my bike now with 3000 miles on them and they still look new. hmmmmmmm......:D

Have a Avon 250 on the rear since last year. About a few thousand miles on it and still good. Beleive me I check it before every ride

Is it just me or does it seem the Avon 250 tire is holding up fine and the issue is with the 300's?

I think your right. I got about 10k outta my last Cobra 250. Just replaced it with another. Mine had a nice flat spot from the twisty Kansas hi-ways though. I've not had an issue with the 250's, hell my front tire still looks good.

I went with the Dunlop Elite 3. It is a little tight so be sure to check for clearance they are about 3 millimeter wider but it will fit. Both tires are 250/40R 18 but the dunlop is wider.

I saw new old stock venom 300 tire dated 2004 for sale wonder if still good ir maybe too old and rubber has hardend. What you think
