9DE08D0D-3B88-44B4-80FB-841F4780D2FE.jpeg Trying to find out if anyone had the same issue as me with the primary sprocket spinning on the clutch basket,when I hit the starter,it engages the clutch sprocket but the primary sprocket just spins making a winding sound,it’s an 04 Bulldog,thnx in advance

Pull the clutch assembly apart I’m certain your starter ring gear bolts are sheard off to the clutch basket, that is the only logical explanation.

I never pulled the clutch off since I owned the bike ,is there a how to ,so I don’t eff anything up,thnx

Remove the chain tensioner nut and loosen chain
Take the front pulley nut off of engine. RH threads.
Take the 4 bolts out of the clutch pressure plate, and remove plate.
You can leave the clutch disks in place, but know they will fall out when you remove the clutch basket.
Remove the clutch hub nut. LH threads.
Slide everything off at once

You also may need a locking device for the hub and I use a good impact wrench to bust it loose.
There are many locking devices available and I have even used rags in between the pulley and chain.
Proper torque and loctite on install.
Thnx,do I need to use a special pulley ?
