Sir could you tell me who HDM is and possibly share a way to contact them ty
Having met the folks at HDM, and spending a fair amount of time with them, I can honestly say that
i have never done business with any nicer people. Derek and Donna McCloud welcomed us with open arms and treated us like long lost friends the very first time we met, and made sure that I got the right part for my bike, ( a simple headlight ring) I'll always remember that day, because at the time of our visit, there were also a couple other people hanging out with them. Those guys were Curtis, (Captain America) from Wildsteadworx inc. ( another great source of parts and information), and another great guy, Marky Marc, who has several videos on repairing our bikes. Those people have given me some really great memories and reason to cherish their friendship for a long time to come. Long story short, Derek and Donna McCloud HDM are really great people to know and do business with!

So far sir they have been absolutely no help when I talked to Donna last Monday to put in my order the first thing she did was pull up the axle she said she had the 07-11 axle n wondered if there was a difference in 05&07 I told her the only difference was I believe in 07 or 06 they went to 300 rear tire she said she would check and get back to me in couple hours I've not heard from her since that was last Monday wed afternoon I call left for her to call me n did the same thur. & Fri still won't return my call so sat. I left a message that the reason I wanted her to call me is so I could go ahead n order everything except the axle while she looked for one but she still hasn't returned my call . I know this has absolutely zero to do with you I thought it may interest you and I have a question could I change the swingarm to fit the 300 tire or is that more hastle than it's worth ? For now I'm going to attempt to make the axle myself and order the rest of it. I was just curious about changing the swingarm . Thanks Brother

Donna's the only one in the shop on a daily basis as far as I know these days and is very busy.
I had trouble for years gettinggood communications going. Be patient, be persistent (but not rude) and she'll take care of you.
Changing the swingarm is a MAJOR undertaking. I doubt you want to tackle that.

I’m going throw this out to you as a option but for sure twistedchoppers.com sells a 1” Universal rear axle that you can adjust the length to accommodate your swingarm. The part is like $130. You said you were going to make it yourself so I assume you have the ability to do it yourself. BUT there is OTHER options besides HDM Inc. for the axle. TWISTED CHOPPERS . COM

Well I can tell you I have taken apart the entire rear end of my 2000 BigDog Vintage Sport & pretty much the entire rear end of my Texas Chopper to. I’m a DIY type guy and like to figure things out on my own. But I am not as experienced as some of these guys like Knothead and Shannon on these bikes. IMG_7324.jpegIMG_0846.jpeg
