Is there anyone here that has had no
major problems with thier BD. How many
miles with no major problem
( EHC, VR,
Starter, Trans, Primary, Motor) rrruff
is the only one I know that has not
had any major problem. Maybe this
should be a Poll Question?

No major problems here (minus a wheel bearing) and 7000+ miles. Not sure why, maybe I just fucked myself. Regular oil changes, I use synthetic 20w-50 in all three. Clean the air filter, I still have the factory plugs. Thing rips, and starts when I want it to, rides good, its all good.

No problems for me drive train wise. I only have about 4500 miles though. Just a couple little issues that have all been corrected such as speedo fogging, and a cracked side cover mounting tab.

Knock on wood, so far so good:2thumbs:

No poll question. Why dwell on the problems? Fix it and ride the hell out of it. Be positive. :2thumbs:

2003 Mastiff with over 15k on it. Ride it almost every day anywhere from 30 to 50 miles and then on the weekends, ride some more.

If it were a car, I'd weld the hood shut and go!:D

Sorry to hear you are having problems but I will 'echo' the previous comments. Fix the problems, chalk it up to shit happens and GO!:D

I haven't seen too many problems posted on this forum that didn't get solved by the membership family here.

How can we help?

Hell, I'd love to see a poll on this. Do a couple, based on miles. say 0-5k, 5k-10k, 10k-20k, and break it down by engine, tranny, primary, EHC, electrical,, frame. I'm really curious to see what kind of failures people are having.

03 Chop here with about 5 thousand on it! It would have a hell of a lot more on it if I could keep it out of the shop! Nothing but electrical problems. Only problem is that the electrical problems are continuous and never ending. It's been so severe that I have had to leave it home for two rally's this year and take the HD!
The pup is now in a shop, not the BD dealer and we are attempting to rectify these electrical issues via an exorcism, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An Arlen Ness easy harness is supposed to replace the EHC and I told the mechanic if he has to buy spools of wire just start rewiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rear wheel bearing failure was my only problem, nothing electrical so far. As soon as my Wire Plus module kit arrives I plan on shit canning my EHC, hopefully I won't not have to experience electrical gremlins. :whoop:
