Give it a shot, and if your clutch slips just switch back to primary fluid. You're not going to hurt anything.

Yes its ok. I have sold over 1500 qts last year of that oil. Now we like to use 20/50 in motor, 10/40 in primary winter time, 20/50 summer and 75w/90 in trans.

You cant go wrong with the best oil money can buy.I Use the 20/50 in engine and primary and 75/90 severe gear oil in the trans-great results and no issues with clutch slippage.Yes a synthetic lubricant is more slippery than petroleum oil,but the additives they use makes the clutch hold just fine.

I would recommend running 20W50 (MCV-QT) in your engines & primary. It is made for all high-performance air-cooled 4-stroke engines and is wet-clutch compatible. I recommend using 75W-90 Servere Gear (SVG-QT) in your transmissions as well. I use to recommend this to all of my customers and never had anyone complain after switching over. I believe there are some sponsers on the forum that stock the products that you need....

Never ran synthetic in my Dogs primary cuz its an open primary. But I can tell you that sport bikes don’t like that stuff at all. Swells up the clutch discs and jacks up your clutch bad. Have to take your clutch apart and dry the discs out before you put in non-synthetic oil. Just an FYI.

I put a quart of the 20-50 amsoil in my primary, what a mess, i had fluid all over the garage, all over the bike, all over me. Never should have done with the open primary.

I just use a name brand ATF in the primary. I read where that is recommended and have not had any issues to date. Easy to find and easy on the pockets. But, I'm not trying to save $2 if I thought there was something better. If I'm not mistaken, this was the prefered fluid by S&S. But I'm often mistaken, so do some research.

I use ATF also. Works good for me too. Price is cheap. Use spectro in the tranny.

You better spray that belt down with brake cleaner so the teeth don't slip:D

Severe gear oil in the primary ? ... Your wet clutch might have a hard time with that? But on the plus side your chain and bearings will love it!! Some other members run that combo also let us know how it works out!
