somebody needs to give me AIR RIDE 101. What I'm hearing doesn't add up to me.
This is what I've heard:
If you pump it up you get:
1. more travel
2. softer ride
3. more weight capacity
If you let air out you get:
1. less travel
2. harder ride
3. less weight capacity
my understanding is the:
more pressure =
1. stiffer ride, not softer
2. higher seat height, not necessarily more travel
3. operate properly for a broader weight range, not increase weight capacity
4. faster riding
less pressure =
1. softer ride, not stiffer
2. less travel
3. poorer handling with aggressive riding
4. slower riding
how do they keep it from bottoming out at low PSI?
