Air bleed jet question all the post I read on here says to use 60 air bleed jet on my 04 super g carb to help correct my 2500 rpm. Problem when carb goes to intermeadate jet I have called many local shops they act like there is no such thing and I just need a carb rebuild so can someone tell me where to get this 60 air bleed from. And thanks in advance

Before you do this.... Drop your float bowl, check to see if in fact your carb has an interchangeable air bleed jet. The older carbs will not let you do that.
The jets are available at all the internet suspects.. here's one. Good luck.

(Yup both the main and air bleed jets are the same style/shape)
:agree: Damn, I was even on their website doing a search right before I posted because I know they have interchangeable ones and I couldn't find them

It depends on the year of your carb. Newer S&S Super G carb's had a removable air bleed. After late 03/04 I believe. If it is a newer carb, you can just buy a #55 or # 60 main jet. They are the same thread. The best results I've had is to run a #32 intermediate #74 main & #55 air bleed

I've been doing a lot of carb work learning and research and the later super g uses a main jet for its air bleed. I tried to pull mine out but couldn't get a good bite in it with a screwdriver so I'm waiting for my main jet tool to come in. From what I got from s&s the ones that are replaceable came with a 40. And they said that's a good base. What is your 2500 issue? I've almost got mine completely sorted out.

Thanks guys for all the info and input my problem was a bad skip and like flat spot at about 2500 rpm when throttling up when carb switched from primary to main ain't had time to touch it since I posted this thread but I will get to it this week and post my results

What would be the best stuff from going from a 40 would it be a big jump to 50 or 55 or should it be gradual like 42 or 44?

So you want to make it richer with bigger jets and the leaner with bigger airjet thru out the rpm band.. Bigger airjet also makes the carb to hang on inter jet for higher rpm. Before going to main jet. Thats your goal?
Or what?
the 60 airbleed jet gets rid of the hesitation at 2500 rpm, between transition between jets.

Suppose it may. Would that be the case every time one might think the carb would have 60 bleed ready from S&S. I'm just thinking going straight to 60 may be a bit drastic move. Hole in the piston is nastier than a rich mixture?

Not a drastic move, if you read about the airbleed it says it is no point to go from 40 to 42, 44, 46.... it is unnoticeable. Guys like XXX Carbs are going to 60, otherwise it is a waist of time fucking around. 60 has been proven to be the best set up.

I am at sea level and running 32 Inter, 78 Main & 60 airbleed... my plugs are spot on, creamy beige color.
