Air bleed question

Thinking about it. I noticed the blue o-ring wasn't there anymore. I saw something about it in a past thread but of course can't find it now. I happen to have one but I don't remember where it was installed. T think someone had a diagram or video that showed it.

It goes on above the gasket, so if you removed the bowl and the gasket was still on the top part, its prolly still there

"So you want to make it richer with bigger jets and the leaner with bigger airjet thru out the rpm band.. Bigger airjet also makes the carb to hang on inter jet for higher rpm. Before going to main jet. Thats your goal?
Or what?"

Just removed the aux bowl vent. Jets are 32 and 70 with 40 air bleed screw according to your post I don't want to touch the air bleed since it'll lean it out when I'm trying to richen up.

All short rides

Slow cruise. No hesitation 0 to 2500 RPMs and plug looks good need fresh plugs to check for sure both plugs consistent and slightly lean.

Hard acceleration no hesitation steady power no hick ups. Very minimal popping from exhaust on deceleration. plugs on the lean side definitely need New plugs to be sure

Turned out 1/4 turn 2 1/2 turns out total.

hard hits no hesitation or stumbling front and rear plugs very lean

Slow Cruise under 2500 RPM are still very lean both cylinders

I am wondering if richening pushed both jets past their capability

I am thinking I need to go up on both Jets.
Thoughts?

?
All bikes are different but I'm running 33, 78 and 52 with the Dual runner and big radius with the baffles in and a 585 cam. The 33 seems big, but in my case it took the sneezing out of it cruising at 50 mph. You just need to find what's best for yours and my rear cylinder runs a little leaner than the front, but a new set of plugs every year is cheap and I have just about 20K on the odometer.

The biggest thing I'm running into is that not a lot of people are sitting about 5000 feet in elevation. So that is what I'm facing with the jetting

Ya. That's the problem I keep running into everybody is close to sea level and here I am at the lowest point of Reno between 4500 4700 feet. If I ride up the mountains I'm looking to eight or 9000 feet

Thats what I face in Colorado. Just got to find a happy medium. I have to rejet whenever I take the Dog west. I mean its only a mile in elevation difference, not sure why that makes such a deal.... :)

What's your actual elevation up there?

And what do you run for jets? I figure you are going to give me closer numbers down the guys at sea level
I still have the old style air bleed so thats still at .040, I dropped the main to .076 an left the rest alone. I dont have many miles out there ...yet, but it seems to do ok. I still have the intermediate stutter tho. Got to rework air bleed to fix it I believe.
