Damn bro...why pay such a high price?
You can honestly ask that question and you own a BIG DOG!!!

Actually, I am buying it for the hardware (ie LOOK), it just so happnes that it includes a filter. Any thing for these bike with chrome is mo money. Although I did save some money on the new S&S single bore air intake. $350 on Ebay for chrome bracket and Single bore filter kit. Sweet deal since the best I had seen was $650.

I searched high and low and couldn't find any reason why that is better. Their description lacked almost every detail one would ask when looking at a fuel filter. The pingel is cleanable and is chrome or polished. No disrespect intended but it doesn't necessarily mean the more it costs the better.

Like I said, I was buying it for the BLING. WAs suprised to find out it had a filter...

ANd my guess the filter is not that great since they show NO PICTURE and very little comments about it on their web page. Thnaks for pointing that out. Maybe I should reconsider. Anybody out there actuall have Retro filter??

Alhall and Lee I think are running the Retro filter...

Yep had one for quite awhile and I don't have to justify spending money on whatever I want for my bike. It works great easy to clean and no tools needed to remove the filter.

Today I picked up a cool fuel filter at the local shop....$13.99 seems to work well. In the pics I have not finished putting the clamps on.

Danm Dog, that's what a Pingel looks like at half the price except that it's not chrome. I guess they Pingel charges $15 for the chroming.

Another round please
Nice, now get some steel braided line to finish it off. Then some cool clamps. I guess I should do the same.

I just wonder about its capability to flow... that is the big thing with the pingle. Let us know cause that would be a cheaper alternative for sure

Don't get why anyone would buy a fuel filter that you can't see through? About 5 years ago just bought a clear plastic auto fuel filter (think it was around $10) and put it in line under the tank so all I have to do is look down and if there is a problem I can immediately tell if gas is getting to the filter;from the filter down; or if there is crap in the filter. Don't have to guess and start pulling shit. Never even heard anyone had trouble using filters.
