Hey, am I the only one looking at this? Doesn't anyone have something else to say? Ya, I'm an "old fuck" but I have been around the block for over 50 years with bikes and own a successful software business for the last 30 years... We need to question all these "promotion" guys who seem to have an easy answer.... I know that spending a grand on a wire system is hard for anyone and if you do you should be satisfied you are getting your moneys worth and not throwing it away. You guys up North can spend your money and lose a year worth of riding if it fails... The bottom line is "will your controls hold up and will you be able to replace them at a reasonable cost? Will the new system work and be dependable or will you be stuck on the side of the road? I'm just trying to help you all out.
Bill,
I do belive you are not the only one reading this thread, and I also believe:
-Ray's bike has nothing to do with RIP issue. The first KMW sold in USA has problems taken care under warranty, so? Why should Ray be whining about it here?
-Andrew telling about the problems in Sweden was OK, we now have heard the answers from others, issue cleared? Great?
-There has been a shitload of threads about options to replace EHC, great.
-KMW is giving us one more option, great.
-Many companies do buy parts from outside suplier, doesn't make financially much sense to manufacture everything by yourself. Specially when it's not your core business.
-Donna and Derek are about to get full stock of switches,Great. I have no reason to believe they did not order enough of those to fill the demand. They may even order more at some point, if there is demand? Great
-It's difficult to reach them, sad. But at least hundreds of us have manage to buy parts from them...Great.
-One might even consider doing the same thing with switch as many do with gas, buy more before you run out. Have a pair in your shelve just in case you need one and don't have time to wait for a mailman.
-Or rewire, who cares. There are no rules, no one right way to go. There is even one wanker in Florida who is making his own gas caps!
-It would be really nice to get a report and see pictures here how your route paid of. How you made it and how it looks, maybe even what was the initial cost and how long it took.
