I agree with Tapio. I’m not sure why Dispatch felt the need to even post this thought that was in his head. Maybe it was to get people to wonder why? How come the earth is round when it could be a flat saucer! Why can’t it be further to outer space? What is a Poser?

I think he just wants to know what people think!

The bigger question here is why do some people get so upset about an internet forum post.

If you're so bothered by a post that you have to respond to it on Social Media to tell them such, you really need to reevaluate yourself as a person. The great thing about internet forums is that if you don't like a post, you simply keep scrolling past it.
Who said I’m upset, or bothered? It rather seems you get upset Like you said this is internet. So as well as you, I have a brilliant opportunity to write my non-important opinion of your nonsense thread nobody is any wiser after reading neither. And that my friend does not require any re-evaluation. You see we don’t value ourselves, ppl around do it for us. Kind of the same as with respect. Or being a biker.

I guess I don’t see the point of the whole thread. I’ve heard people call their rides “ scooters “ “bikes “ “choppers “ “ put puts” even “ sweet heart “ the important thing is,,,,
They all have 2 wheels and make life fun. Now quit the arguing or I’ll send ya to your room without supper!!

Ok, let me rephrase the question, since you think owning a four legged pup answered my original question. Do you own a motorcycle? If so what kind, or brand? If the answer is no, new question. Have you ever owned a motorcycle? I'm just curious why you even posed the chopper question in the first place? Who really cares? It's a ride. Call it whatever you want when you own one, that I will respect. Until then just order one or buy used. Makes no difference to me or probably anyone else on this site.
Has anyone ever heard the phrase"stirring the sh@t pot"?

If Dispatch wasn’t bothered he would have just scrolled on ............ but maybe evaluation on his part is needed!

Tapio is the last person on earth to be bothered by a post and only pointing out the obvious.

There is a fantasy belief by some so-called 'real bikers' that conclude if a chopper isn't made from scratch, made from different parts and wasn't created by the one who owns it, it's not considered a genuine chopper.

The tale also concludes that nobody can build it for you and that riding a chopper you didn't build is the ultimate example of a fraud, also saying that the majority of riders don't even know what a chopper is.

The delusion is if you didn't make it yourself it's a rip off and you are a poser because you bought (but mostly because you could afford), a production made chopper.

Whenever I come across these people and I hear this type of asinine nonsense I can't help but get a feeling of nausea as these people make you want to vomit with rage...
Most people who say such things are trying to overemphasize their mechanical abilities, mostly to satiate their inferiority complex. I’ve had people talk to same crap. I just recently stripped my ridge back down to the frame and rebuild the entire bike. including a 140 inch motor, 3 inch open primary and a new wiring harness. So they can just shut their mouth’s now. Lol! Don’t worry about it man. Mouths full of word are usually a good indicator of empty minds.

After reading threw this thread . I apologize for using
chopper in a box & off the shelf chopper to describe some bikes .
Didn't mean any disrespect . Typed before thinking again .
<------ brain fart . senior moment .

Technically, back in the day ANY biker that didn't build his bike was not a biker. Then as time went on it became as you stated built choppers v/s bought choppers.
My .02 ,,,,, I've built mutt bikes, bought bikes and rode bikes that were not mine just to help a bud that needed the bikes rode. What do they all have in common? I can't hear criticism while I'm riding , I don't care about popular opinion and at least I either busted my knuckles building it or afforded it by the sweat of my brow.
If you like it , ride it! The only opinion that counts , is the owner of said bike.
That being said , Big Dogs are better than cookie cutter Harleys ( to me )
