Well my 2008 Big Dog Ridgeback is number 48 but while I’m thinking clearly, there weren’t that many made but I now think I don’t have a Chopper since it isn’t documented as Chopper by including the name “Chopper” on a government document. So, I’m screwed.......I can’t believe I don’t have a Big Dog Chopper. Now, I really hate Mothers Day. It’s too close to my birthday and I don’t like my mother and I didn’t even get a happy birthday from the forum. My life sucks! :oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh:

Did Dispatch really have to bring this subject up? Don’t answer that, it’s rhetorical
Happy Birthday, Yeppie,,,Ronnie

Technically, back in the day ANY biker that didn't build his bike was not a biker. Then as time went on it became as you stated built choppers v/s bought choppers.
My .02 ,,,,, I've built mutt bikes, bought bikes and rode bikes that were not mine just to help a bud that needed the bikes rode. What do they all have in common? I can't hear criticism while I'm riding , I don't care about popular opinion and at least I either busted my knuckles building it or afforded it by the sweat of my brow.
If you like it , ride it! The only opinion that counts , is the owner of said bike.
That being said , Big Dogs are better than cookie cutter Harleys ( to me )
I Totally Agree, Cookie Cutters Are Not As Sharp As BDM's Are. At Least BD Motorcycles Have Custom Paint.....K9Biker

Rode my whole life motorcycles in much different types.
Had with the most my fun.
Am proud to have my dog and ride and repair it by myself.
Am not interested on customizing much because like it so how it is.
My bike is my hobby, family first, job is the second, my friends the next.
Those Real bikers...... are not on my flag.

Quick and easy response back to those "real bikers"...

That is the finger I sliced on a lawn mower blade. I have shown it to several people that make comments about how long my hair or my beard is ( have not cut my hair or my beard in over 6 years now!) and I did get 10 stitches when I hit it on a lawn mower blade I had just sharpened. I don't toss the air hose under the mower deck anymore! :)

I like my ole chopper and don't really give a shizzzzz what anyone thinks about it. I did see , glimpse an ole school , racked out, sissy bar 8 feet in the air with exhaust going all the up the sissy bar and flaring out. it had those long skinny forks and it looked like the guy was traveling with the amount of gear that was strapped to it. It was in traffic and I could not catch him to get a real good look . would I own one possibly not but I think they are still cool as crap.
