was there a reply to this i would like to know the same info, can you just throw in this cam and be done , or do you have to adjust anything else?
The stock ECU will only tune up to 20% off the original fuel table. I would say that would be marginal for a cam upgrade. You can check with Tom Hampton at S&S to be certain.

Ideally if you would need to get an unlocked ECU and reflash it with a tune that already incorporated the changes you have.

2007 Bulldog/2009 K-9
I just did the 585 in my 09’ k-9 efi. Went smooth. After the install run the bike for a while. At which point you may have the check engine light going on and off. After that one of two things may happen. Your vfi modlule may learn or you may need to merge maps. I ended up having to merge the mapping with the help of ground pounder, a very efi knowledgeable member on here, and no more Ck eng light.

Lots of info on the 585, 600 etc cams and detuning on motors. What year did they start detuning the motors and what cam does say an 06 K9 117 have in it from the factory?
