From Carlos, and the reason I removed because I believe these are important motor protection sensors.

I like what I have read so far about the Thunder Heart, it is easy to install and would save me having to change out several things. But I am going to stay with the S&S IST Ignition. Having a MAP sensor, Temp sensor and a knock senor will work in your favor should your motor ever get hot. I feel that with a set timing, say more than 30 degrees on a hot day it is likely and probably will make the motor ping even with good gas. With the Thunder Heart it appears that the only way to retard your timing is to pullover and switch it, whereas with the S&S Ignition it will do it by itself when the Knock senor is activated by detonation which will keep from damaging the motor. To each is own, Like I said I like what I am reading and is very interesting, but I am familiar with the Map and knock sensors and they can save you some headaches.

You removed the programmable TH but you re-installed the stock one... the stock is also a TH, not the IST Carlos is talking about.

And with the stock one you cannot retard/advance the timing... It's set/locked at 28 degrees, period.

Correct me if I am wrong.

You will love the 585, huge difference. I installed the TH also at the same time, but later removed it, some like it, I didn't notice any difference with it no matter what setting I put it on. Tried 28,30 and 32, didn't feel ant different, maybe if it was on a dyno you might see a slight difference, but the cam change was huge.
Do you still have it? I will buy it.

Yes, I still have it, PM me an offer and I'll decide if I want to sell it or not, was purchased as plug n play and it is.
Since I'm retired I have to sell things to survive:oldlaugh: and on Saturday my wife went crazy and cleaned up a lot of toys from the kids and grandson, a pickup truck full, so we took it to the second hand store and good will, got a whole $20.50 for it. So I took her out to eat and it cost me $50, now I'm $30 in the hole, I don't know why I listen to her.:oldbang::oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh:However, she was nice to me that night:oldsmile::oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh::oldhardlaugh:
