Ran like crap but after charging the battery it ran like a mad dog.

ok just went out and looked at the heart,key on no light,hit run light on for a secound ,hit start it flashes while cranking,if it were me i would start with some plug wires since you found one burned and rubbing

not going to a damn dealer i fix my Harley i'll figure this out with some help from ya'll. Ok cant find a new coil on ebay guess mybe i start there since i have power to both sides of the coil??

you can probably use a harley coil,3ohms

ok no ark plug wires are good just a scuff in the one. yes its black and lights up EHC was just replaced last year. and it says 3 ohm right on coil

I called Harley it's $98.00. But how can i be sure thats the problem?

:bang:im never real sure about any thing on these dogs,still wonder why the heart doesnt light up at all,maybe some of the electrical gods will chime in here,does your ehc have a pigtail coming from it

ok i have power to both sides of the coil i pulled one plug out turned ignition on hit run then turned the engine over and held spark plug to the fins but got no spark. so would that mean my coil is bad? maybe thats why the thunderheart doesn't light up?

id say coil. the heart doesnt lite on mine either. 04 as well.. if you have power to coil and are sure there is no spark . go get your coil!
