is there any easy way to get to the cam sensor i pulled the cover and looks like i have to remove my pipes and pull the whole main cover off as it shows nothing with the round cover removed?? Ok #1 i never dug into an electrical system so treat this as i'm blind lol i need pics and detailed info if posible. thanks going to change my name to MeatHead cause right now i feel dumb lol
Don't pull the whole cover! Thats supports the cam and lifters and valve train under spring pressure and doesn't sound like its your problem.

You can't reach a tester to the coil contacts to make sure you're getting power?

Have you had the battery out? If so did all wires get reconnected?

yes all wires are connected and in good condition, i have to pull cover to get to it so i have to raise the tank to get bolts outta the cover over the coil etc

No room for a hex wrench or hex bit and use a open end wrench to keep from pulling tanks.

ok i searche cam sensor, look on the second page the thread is no spark on 2002 mastiff, read the thread there is a trouble shooting link that someone posted, you will also need to check power to your cam sensor,if no power there it could be your ehc or may be thunder heart, one more thing you might check is the relay under your seat, theres alittle button on it try pushing it in.good luck

no had to lift my split tank to get the cover off turned on key hit run there is power to both sides of the coil. Don't think i wanna turn it over as the gas is slowly leaking cause the slit tank is up in the air lol

Yep does sound like coil.

Also might check a plug wire as well. Baby ray had plug wires go bad on his bike. wouldn't run, then run one cylinder, then be okay. We checked lots of stuff and new wires solved the prob

found one of my plug wires is starting to burn through the rubber from rubbing on the cover but still doesn't explain why i have no spark to either plug and the thunder heart does not light up
