When I took it apart, I labeled all my wiring and took my time putting back together. Just before I finished up last night, I hooked the battery up, to see how bright the new lights will be. Turn the ignition switch on, and blew the main power fuse. (my bike is hard wired).
Spent hours today trying to find out what the heck was shorted. Finely isolated it to the tag light wire, which was confusing, because it isn't hooked up yet.
My inner fender plate is made out of diamond plate aluminum, and when I mounted it, I forgot to run the tag light wire through it's hole, and ended up pinching it against the swing arm.
