2012 big Dog Motorcycles

Energy One

Throttle Jockey

Don't Look at my Member!
Bitch bars that don't cost 800 skins for us cheapos. Something less expensive.
Better water proofing on the circuit boards for when we come up on a rain storm in the middle of no where and don't want to stop under a bridge.
No more TP rockers.

higher quality kick stand
adjustable ignition system
metal side covers..(instead of plastic)
use std hand controls ( use HD style)
use std foot pegs
no ehc...
heaver gauge wire harness through out the bike
higher quality wheel berrings
optional springer front ends
better water proofing elect connectors plugs
I'm sure I could come up with more..
Especially that kick stand. My K-9's stand is just scary! I can't believe BDM doesn't look next door at how Harley markets accessories. They have a 2" thick catalog of goodies. If BDM would offer 'em we would buy 'em. And put ALL parts (engine, trans, belts etc.) on line so we could see and price 'em. Going to the local bike shop and trying to figure out what will work on my K-9 sucks. I would rather buy from BDM and get exactly what I need for my bike.

SOFTWARE available to owners !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Retro fitted speedo for older dogs for replacement. I'm not a fan of the Dakota Digital.

More accesories, look at Harley's selection as noted above 2" book.

Larger gas tank, (Raywood woodd be a fan of this one)

Better selection of T-shirts leaving out scantly clad women. (GF complains about bikini girls on my BD Tee's)

well there isnt much that hasnt been said so...... I agree with everyone and think that Big Dog needs to step it up!!! we as big dog owners are the ones keeping them in busness not the HD riders or anyone else!! if we cant get parts in a timley fashon we go sum where else or we dont get them and that sux!!! we all LOVE these bikes and wish we could have more of them!!! I hope in the end that they really do look at these and take them to hart!!!! thank you for continuing to build such a great bike and hope that next year will be better!!! :2thumbs::2thumbs::cheers::flag:

Flush mount gas cap with larger hole so I can see fuel while I am filling it up.
HD size handle bars or more options on grips.
Tool kit hidden on bike. Oil filter a little further away from motor so can use
good strap wrench. Better plastic or metal side covers so they won't
crack and fall off. Do away with EHC go to 12 volt system.
Raise the speedo to middle of handel bars so I can get my big hand under it
to clean the tank. Love my 117 in. but it could have been balanced a little better,
foot vibrates off of right side foot peg around 3000 RPM.
Better quality chrome(rotor holders, fork brace ) etc.
External oil temp sounds nice. No wrench style flat black dip sticks oil and tranny.

:damnit: sounds like I,m bitch'n about the best factory bike out there. :flag:
Still love my 2006 K9 :choppersmiley:

Was that 2 cents worth

Bad dog, no bisquit
Keep the scantly clad women on shirts and jackets, get a new girlfriend if she complains. Girlfriends are much more disposable than wives. Then when she becomes the EX, put picture of her in a bikini on shirts and sell them to us in the goup buy section. :whoop: Oh, and Big Dog needs more promotion. People still think the local dealer here in Harrisburg builds the bikes as full customs.

I'd like to see a bike that was like a Wide Glide, but actually with nice lines. I hate how Harley has the forks in too close. Rake it out just a little and add a few inches to the forks. Put a bigger tire then stock on the back, but not a 250 or 300mm. Something with the lines of Mickey Rourkes bike.

Not extreme........ Just tweaked a little. I've been saying for years that Harley should actually make a bike that looks like how a lot of them end up. Since Harley wont do it, maybe Big Dog should.

Wife and I have Big Dog's, love 'em and don't plan to sell, trade up/dwn anytime soon. Mostly been said but here ya go:
Like others have said, give me toys to go with it (accessories, apparel that's worth a damn), open parts catalog with replacement part upgrades like bearings, bolts (speaking of, give new owners better quality of the parts, finish/chrome used to build 'em,) etc. Don't make owners rebuild their bikes if they are the type to put a few miles on em right....:D
We'd rather not carry around a spare parts bin with us on travels; carrying clutch cables, bearings, starters, ehc's/WP, bolts and batteries is embarrassing...esp if our HD buddies found out, (where are we to put our Beer carrying all that shit?)....:D You've read Ray's and others saga's over the years - pay attention, your customers do. Make it right.
Bottom line for me, simple stuff above in my book; give us reasonable priced options and accessories...build it even better than the first and second time I choose the brand. You know the deal, take care of your customers and they will take care of you. I've bought two - the ball is in your court.

Bigger gas tank--5 to 6 gal.
Flush gas cap at highter point of tank
Commonality of accessories--that will fit all models of the bikes-not jut one model
Better seats with more cushion---I have a bony tail
More lsmaller lights to go along with the main headlight.
Hard bags that will retro to all bikes---hard , paintable
Cams, springs , carbs, air cleaners offered from S & S at a reasonable price
Preformance pipes
Oil tank dipstick
low fuel light on all models

There are many more. A lot of these and previous sugguested items doesn't require any tooling, but can add many dollars to BD.

Need a Mutt type entry bike retailing around $ 17,000 with some flair

I would like the Pit Bull to have the older traditional style ridgid frame, instead of the new one, which looks like a swing arm bike.
